Earth Charter Radio Program for children in Costa Rica hosted by the Children Museum.
This song, a Colombian “Bambuco”, was composed by Gloria de Alarcón and based on principles I and II of the Earth Charter. The singers are the girls Erika Lizzette and Katherine Alarcón, daughters of the author and it was translated from Spanish into English, French and Swedish. This is a program supported by the Colombian Association of Pre-school Education – ACDEP, one of our Affiliates in Colombia, and is part of the dissemination of the Earth Charter on their behalf.
The Earth Charter Radio Campaign consists of 4 radio spots introducing the Earth Charter and its principles.
The length of each spot is 15 – 20 seconds and they are free to download.
This is a project envisioned, designed and implemented by Earth Charter Youth Leadership Team members Namir and Didier, who wanted to provide this communication resource to all, hoping that many interested groups and individuals will make good use of it.

The small book of poems for kindergartens and primary schools was published in Tatarstan by the branch of the Earth Charter Affiliate in Russia, the Russian Center for Environmental Policy and Culture (RCEPC). The publication is built on the values expressed in Part II of the Earth Charter « Ecological Integrity ». The text was composed by a young biologist and a university assistant professor Elena Minakova. She was the driving force behind the establishment of the Earth Charter Center for ESD at the Kazan State Pedagogical University in the fall of 2008. The graphics belongs to N. Klimovskikh, a graduate student of the Department of Education.
An Earth Charter song entitled “Nous, les enfants de la Terre” was written in France by Eric Tudico. It was also translated into English with the title « We, the Children of the Earth ».
In the fall 2009 the Earth Charter Switzerland took part in the « Diversity » festival in Bern organised by the House of Religions. More than 250 families with children and guests came to celebrate diversity on this day. Here are some examples of children’s drawing that won the art contest during children activities: “I paint for the Earth!” and “Our wishes should come true!”
